Late Spring 2009

Guy Buyens of the Hontai Yoshin-ryu continues with his generous contributions to Koryu.com with an illustrated essay on this year's 30th Anniversary Demonstration of the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai. The Kobudo Kyokai is one of the two oldest and most recognized Japanese groups devoted to the koryu. In his first installment Guy introduces the event and includes a list of current member ryu. Subsequent installments will focus on the traditions that demonstrated this year. I expect there will be something of interest for everyone, so stay tuned.

Our latest development at Koryu.com is the creation of a Facebook page (search on "Koryu Books" with the quotation marks). If you regularly use Facebook, you may find that becoming a fan of the page is a more convenient way of keeping up with happenings here than receiving our e-mail announcements. For the moment, the two will essentially duplicate each other, but in future, we hope to come up with ways to enhance the Facebook page. Enjoy!
